AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran’s Defense Minister, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, stated that the Islamic Republic will never accept forced reconciliation with aggressors, while strongly condemning the recent U.S. attacks on Iranian territory.
He made these remarks during a phone call with Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, following the U.S. strike on three peaceful nuclear facilities in central Iran.
In retaliation, Iranian forces launched a missile barrage targeting the Al Udeid base in Qatar, which serves as the U.S. Air Force’s regional command center and is considered Washington’s most strategic military asset in West Asia.
The Iranian military described the strike as a powerful and direct message to the White House and its allies, affirming that any violation of Iran’s sovereignty or security would be met with a firm response.
Nasirzadeh blamed the United States for regional instability and called for stronger Iran-Russia cooperation to restore balance and promote peace.
He also condemned the Israeli regime, calling it a tool of regional chaos, and criticized the U.S. and its allies for supporting Tel Aviv’s destabilizing actions.
Russian Defense Minister Belousov rejected U.S. claims that Iran’s nuclear program had military objectives, saying such accusations were never confirmed by the IAEA despite extensive inspections.
He added that the attack on Iran was merely a pretext to weaken the Islamic Republic and spread unrest, and emphasized that Russia would continue to support Iran.
Separately, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov reaffirmed Moscow’s condemnation of U.S. and Israeli actions and announced that Russia is working with Iran on a UN Security Council resolution to denounce the attacks.
